We Officially Have Three Kids

One morning at Disneyworld, I noticed that my baby was gone. I remember the exact moment that I noticed it. So much so that I grabbed my camera and photographed it. This was the morning that Hudson became one of the kids.

There he was, eating his breakfast with the other two, not needing to be fed or held or cajoled, just climbed up on the bench with the other two like it was the most natural thing in the world.

And then later that day, as we were walking back from the pool, there was the kid again -- walking ahead of me, not needing to be carried or guided, with a clear mission and memory of where we were going and what we were doing. Again, I photographed it. My baby was gone.
