Disney On Ice

On Wednesday night, the McBee family invited us and the Griswolds to join them at Disney on Ice. I was slightly worried about it, as it was to be a full family thing (babies and Daddies too), the show didn't start until 7:30 (bedtime for all my kids), and we were having dinner at a great restaurant downtown beforehand (Hudson is not yet a polished restaurant patron). But we love the McBees and the Griswolds, and since it was Spring Break, I decided that we would just roll with the punches and see what happened.

We met at Luna Del Noche for dinner. It ended up being fine because it was early enough that we essentially had the restaurant to ourselves, so whatever kid behavior was going on, no one else had to be bothered by it. About mid-way through our meal, a strolling guitar player appeared and sang some songs, which the kids obligingly danced to. It was pretty darn cute.

After dinner we hustled over to American Airlines Center for Disney on Ice. I needn't have worried about the kids here, as all three of them were glued to what was going on, thrilled to be there, and thoroughly enjoying themselves. There was no flash photography in the arena while the skaters were performing, so Lauren got the only photo of the night of a very lithe Nala.

It was a great evening, but we didn't get home until 9:45 and the kids were EXHAUSTED. Totally worth it, though.

Okay, I know there are a lot more exciting things that I could comment on, but how weird that we just got Riley the same flip flops as Lauren - Gap right? - 30% off sale- I was all over it!
