An Afternoon With the Curry's

So everyone remembers my friend Heather (I always describe her as "the tall, beautiful one" and then people instantly remember), who recently got married, moved to Pittsburgh, and had a baby boy named Asher. So they were in town this weekend, and they came over this afternoon, along with their friends the Smeltz's (Scott, Toni, and their adorable daughter Kennedy).

So we had a great afternoon, talking and visiting and enjoying the kids, who were busy enjoying each other. Asher couldn't be any cuter, he's super mellow and sweet, and my kids could not have been any more enamored of him. Lauren woke up at 6:00 this morning and put on her special party dress for Aunt Heather, helped me shop and cook and prepare, and generally doted on Asher, which you can see from this picture. Jon Owen played with him and hugged him and worried about him (a sure indicator that he cares). And Hudson spent the day saying "BABY ASHOW." So cute!

It was great to see everyone again, Heather is back to her supermodel self, and she is a very natural Mother. The icing on the cake was being surprised and honored to be asked to be Asher's Godmother! A great afternoon all the way around.

it was a much needed afternoon with friends. I have started to officially miss my friends. I think the sleep deprivation is wearing off and a night out with girlfriends sounds good. Thanks for hosting! Maybe we can actually get some adult time when we are back in May. It was too hectic with my dad getting married this trip. the kids look awesome and Hudson is so freaking cute with that talk. Lauren always looks beautiful even in sweat pants. Love to all the Chappells.
