On Thursday morning, still bleary-eyed and groggy from the night before (not my finest planning moment, I have to say), we met Cindy, Jake and Katie Lawson at the Aquarium. As everyone remembers, Jay and I had our reception here, so it's always fun to go back there with the kids and check it out.Of course, it has been expanded and quite improved in the 9 years since we first fell in love with it, and they have added restaurants and a whole Mayan wing that features a cool shark tank where the sharks swim over your head. On this visit, the shark tank also included some saw fish ("not sharks at all, Mommy" as Lauren admonished me), which we found totally cool.
As all of our gatherings with the Lawsons are, it was a great day. Jake and Katie both clamor for Lauren's attention (must be a twin thing, but Lauren loved it), and Jon Owen also found his comfort zone in this fun foursome.
