T-Ball

Ok. It's 10:55 and no one's home from swim practice yet, so I'm going to keep on going. Stolen time, stolen time, stolen time...ok, so Jon Owen's first foray into T-Ball...

In what was a great display of fellowship, he was asked to join a Parish T-Ball team. Although he was slightly nervous about playing a sport he didn't really know with kids he didn't really know, I was SO proud of him for just DOING it. The boy is bursting out of his shell these days, it's a great thing to watch.

So, my Dad would tell you that baseball is a long-standing Trujillo tradition. My Grandfather played semi-pro baseball, and my brothers were both All-State baseball players for their high schools (this is Texas y'all, that's a big thing!). Sadly, the baseball gene skipped me, but he will be happy to know that it is alive and well in his grandchildren.

On the day of his first game, posing with his imaginary bat. Totally funny, but isn't that face just made for a baseball hat?

With his team, waiting for instructions.

First ever at bat. I missed this game, since I was at Lauren's swim meet, but Jay said he totally smashed this ball!

At first base after his excellent hit, telling the Coach that he was ready to go to second base.

At third base. Love the expression on his face.

Scoring his first run. Totally awesome!
