So. Right after school let out, we took a much-needed and much-anticipated trip to Southern California. I LOVE California, we hadn't been there in a few years, and so we decided to have a quick jaunt out west. There's so much to see and do that we had a hard time narrowing it down, but our goal was to spend a few days at Disneyland (a Disney park in the vicinity without a quick visit? blasphemous!), a few days in the San Diego area (San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland), a few down days at LaCosta (our resort of choice on this trip), and some time at the beach.
In actuality, we never went into San Diego (we'll just have to do a San Diego-specific trip next time) and never made it on the beach (it was actually a little chilly out there still, and just thought that it wouldn't be worth the effort if no one could get in the water). But fear not, followers! We still managed to have a great time.
We spent 3 full days and nights at Disneyland and enjoyed every minute of it. We spent 4 glorious nights playing tennis and golf and swimming and shopping and relaxing at my new favorite resort on the planet (we even saw Miss Courtney, who spent an afternoon and evening with us there), and on our last day, we went to Legoland.
It was great. Here's a picture of us on our last day at LaCosta.
