So this year's hip hop/jazz routine was set to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," with a little hip hop interlude in there that made it plenty funky. I wish that I'd recorded the rehearsal (a professional videographer records the recital) or at least taken some action shots, but that day was back to back activities and I somehow made it into the Majestic Theater without my camera.
In any case, the official recital photographer took lots of action shots, and if you care to look at them, here is the link. http://photostore2.take2ok.com/index.php?do=photocart&viewGallery=84134 Good luck with that, because I can see them in thumbnail version, but can't seem to open any of them to take a closer look. But if you can, you will see Lauren, probably the shortest girl on stage (this class is for 8-11 year olds, and she was at least a full year younger than everyone, two or three years younger than most), front and center with a beautiful toe point and a huge smile on her face.
It must be tiresome to hear me brag about my children. But this time of year, they have so many accomplishments, I am brimming with pride.
pretty girl
a Boogie Woogie salute!
