out for dinner at a restaurant that I can't remember the name of...but they had great, fresh Mexican food! Note Hudson's arm ever so strategically placed on Gracie's lower back, he developed a serious crush on her over the weekend, trying very hard to get her attention and affection!
Our three oldest, displaying their kids camp creations
Hudson looking ever-so proud of the tower of buckets that Jeanie helped him build...
Jeanie and Josh, aren't they adorable?!? She hates all pictures of herself, but I think this is a good one!
Jon Owen eating the world's largest hot dog after swimming down the lazy river all morning (he and Lauren both did -- most people floated, but they chose to swim, darting through the water and underneath innertubes, frequently scaring their mother!
The girls on the "beach" -- Gracie was the architect and engineer behind an elaborate display of sand and water, truly her father's daughter (he's an engineer who also happens to be a lawyer, a rare mix).
Jay floating down the lazy river with a napping Hudson on his lap, he must have slept for at least an hour and a half!
Lauren attempting to ride a bicycle without training wheels, there were many shrieks of "stop letting me go, Daddy!!!"
Hudson in his souped-up trike -- he couldn't reach the pedals but he looked awfully cool!
Jeanie helping Lizzie along on her bicycle, that's Jon Owen coming up the rear...
the boys took the kids out for a nature walk while Jeanie and I played tennis, here is Hudson holding on to Gracie again and Gracie holding on to Lauren...
after dinner, aren't they a cute bunch?!?
It was a totally fun weekend, and we had a grand time with the Griswold's. An easy mix of kids and adults that we will certainly duplicate on future outings! We're already planning a trip for Jeanie's 40th birthday next year, which will certainly be a celebration for the ages.
