Impossible to believe that my baby girl is now a whopping eight years old. I still have a very clear, vivid memory of her at about 6 weeks old, laying in my Granddaddy's white rolling crib, wearing the sweetest Ralph Lauren dress that was white with little pink flowers on it. I remember the pink of her cheeks, her long, thick eyelashes, and her blonde hair shimmering on her temple as the sun streamed in the sunroom of my little Ellsworth Avenue house. My heart lept through my chest as I watched her sleeping, I didn't think I could love anything that much. In the years since she has turned into a strong, confident, intelligent, beautiful, girl -- and I love her more each year.
So on this Sunday, July the 5th, we celebrated Lauren with a spice cake (her choice) and a special dinner at Fuji Steakhouse (for the second year in a row!). Happy Birthday, baby girl.

I love it! I can totally relate to your feelings though my little girl is 4 years ahead of yours! Don't worry about the paci..those are precious memories too! I thought Jess's would go to college with her. But hey, I've been to college and could've used one a few times!

Okay you just made me cry, with all of that remeniscing. Can totally picture Baby Lauren as though it were yesterday. They are all growing up so fast. Love all of your pictures.
You know if you just glance at that top picture you posted...I totally can see Lauren as a teenager. She is such a beautiful and wonderful girl. Give her some love from Aunt Heather. 8. Wow!
