All of the sudden, homework has become a big part of our lives. Lauren has homework in at least 4 subjects every night -- although the assignments aren't necessarily hard or time-consuming, they do require planning and concentration. So in order to give her the environment she needs (no extraneous noise, supplies at the ready, parental assistance nearby if needed), homework has turned into a family affair.
We've filled up the "homework bin" with all sorts of materials and fun things to do and learn, and it's actually become my favorite time of the day. Here they are, concentrating hard.

I love your idea! We have friends with NINE kids and they do something similiar.
I love it too, and that Hudson is participating. Do you do this right when they get home from school? I should start trying this homework or not too. Maybe a little snack incentive to go along with it. Awesome!!
