Christmas Pajamas

So. When I was growing up, every year my Mom would sew us pajamas for Christmas. They would sort of match -- maybe they would be the same material but mine would be a nightgown and Cassie's would be pants, or they would be the same nightgown but mine would be red and Cassie's would be green -- you get the picture. And we got to open these pajamas on Christmas Eve, so that on Christmas morning, we would be picture-ready and color coordinated.

And ever since we had Lauren, this is a tradition we continue in our house. Only I don't sew them (I know this surprises everyone). And since this was my Mom's tradition, the pajamas come from Grandma Hilma in heaven.

So here are the kids tonight, just having opened their Grandma Hilma pajamas. Hudson wanted all of them for himself, as you can see. And here they are after baths, fully pajama'd, dancing in front of the tree, looking ever so cute.

They are so excited they can hardly stand it. Santa is on his way!!!
