Lauren's Piano Recital

It is no surprise to those who know me that the end of the school year wears. me. out.  All of the emotional school and activity year-end parties and celebrations and recitals and programs and gatherings -- plus the gearing up of all the summer activities -- add in a Mother's Day and a birthday and well, the kids and I are doing well to just be standing upright.

Such was the case on this day in May, when we all gathered to watch all of Pat Suitt's piano students put on a recital.  Lauren had had a full day of school, dance, and swim team practice and was fairly worn out on this evening, and she had an uncharacteristic bobble during her performance -- but she fought through it and recovered nicely.  She has become quite a lovely piano player!

After the recital, Mrs. Suitt handed out awards and medals and generally praised her students, who were, I must say, very impressive.  I look forward to watching the kids grow in their piano playing (Jon Owen is playing now too!!!).
