So I realize that I am woefully behind and out of order in my blogging, so I'm just getting to it as it occurs to me....so bear with me!
In May, Lauren participated in her seventh year-end dance recital at Dallas Powerhouse of Dance. This year she took 2 classes -- ballet and jazz. The first dance was set to music entitled "Aquarium" and the dresses were beautiful! Lauren is quite a beautiful ballerina, and every year, I love watching her dance ability and stage presence grow. She was front and center, and there was actually a moment that she exhaled through her arms, and smiled so beautifully, like she was savoring every moment of her performance -- well, it took my breath away. So here are some highlights, forgive the spotty photography, it was rehearsal day and it was crazy and dark and I'm lucky I got anything at all!!
Her second routine was her jazz routine, set to a song called "Like Whoa!" She took this class with about 9 or 10 of her Parish friends, so they had lots of fun all year long and on recital day hamming it up for the camera. I actually recorded this routine, I'm uploading it to youtube right now and will post the link as soon as it's up and running. Here is one of the few still pics I took:
