Finally, A Season-Ending Soccer Party

For Jon Owen's soccer team, they had been waiting patiently.  After the fall soccer season, the party and trophy didn't happen.  After the spring soccer season, the party and trophy didn't happen.  Why, I'm not quite sure -- but I suppose schedules and craziness had something to do with it.  But finally, on Wednesday, we gathered at the home of Dotti and Nupe Singhal to have an end of Kindergarten year soccer party.

It was fitting that we waited to have a big blowout, because Wayne Henry -- whose son, Kobe, is in Kindergarten with the boys; was the head of the Physical Education department for all of Parish; and oh, by the way, also a former professional soccer player -- just accepted a position in Bermuda to coach the Bermuda National soccer team.  So we had a big blowout celebrating the boys, and celebrating Wayne Henry, who was truly the most awesome coach and mentor and supporter of our small boys.

So here are some party pics:
Getting ready to address the troops
Wayne talking to the kids
Jon Owen collecting his trophy
Stephanie giving Wayne the scrapbook with pictures of all of the boys and messages from the families, and a Parish Panther signed soccer ball
Looking at messages -- I love how happy they look
