Christmas morning. Perhaps the most anticipated event of the entire year. And this one didn't disappoint. The kids were told that they had to all come downstairs together, and not before 6 AM, so at 6:01, the calling commenced...."Mommy....Mommy....."
Santa ate the Christmas cookies that the kids set out for him, and left behind lots of loot --Jon Owen got the GIGANTIC Star Wars Millenium Falcon (Daddy was seriously jealous, since he said he ALWAYS wanted it when he was a boy), Lauren got an iTouch and a digital camera, and Hudson got a Thomas the Tank Engine race set and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Express.
As we always do, we supplemented the present opening with blueberry muffins and champagne (really sparkling apple juice), and this year Lauren and I made an egg casserole. It was a typical Christmas in our house, we all hung out in our pajamas, played games, and enjoyed each other. Perfection.
Look at the size of that Falcon!
How did she get to be old enough to receive electronics at Christmastime?
