Freaky Friday

Every year at Parish, the Parents Association puts on this huge carnival for the kids on the upper campus.  They bring in every inflatable under the sun, have food vendors, rock walls and haunted houses and face painting and hair painting and wax hands and dancing and sports and balloon animals and, and, and, well you get the picture.  The list could go on.

Last year, you may recall that I was on the Freaky Friday committee, and it really took over my life.  So this year, I opted out (and instead lent my efforts to the Tennis Tournament, which was much better organized) and attended only as a Mom, which was great!  Lauren and Jon Owen had a ball playing with their friends, and fully exhausted themselves.  Here are a few photos:

Arriving at the same time with Lauren's friend Anna Mayo.  Love the holding hands.

That's Lauren and Jon Owen on that rock wall!

Face painting -- we all agreed that the white around her eyes was a little freaky....

Serious hip shaking for the macarena....

....and five minutes later, a serious display of athleticism at the quarterback toss.  That's my girl.
