So yesterday in school, Lauren's class was asked to draw a picture of something that may make them feel uncomfortable or different from others. And here is Lauren's picture, depicting her serious, serious issues. Her eyes used to be blue, and now they are green. She has to go to bed too early -- 7:30. Her favorite color is pink, and people give her a hard time about this. She feels too tall, especially in comparison to her friend Mia, who is itty bitty. These are real problems, y'all!!!
But lastly, the one that really broke my heart, no joke...she doesn't have a sister. She has ALWAYS wanted a sister. I told her she has so many "honorary" sisters -- Jacqueline, Riley and Emily, and Gracie and Lizzie -- but still this makes her sad. And it makes me sad too, I always wanted another little girl.

what a fun assignment! I love how serious her issues are! I always, always wanted a baby brother.
tell her from her Aunt Heather that one day she will love being tall but for a few years it is harder being taller than everyone! She will be stunningly gorgeous, no doubt and she will love it - one day! But I do understand.
That is a great assignment.
