Well, technically her half birthday was on January 5th, but that wasn't a school day, so we chose today to celebrate it at school. She chose a special classroom snack (ice cream!), gets to choose a book to donate to the library ("Ottoline and the Yellow Cat" -- so cute), and gets to go up to the front during chapel to present her offering, have a birthday prayer said in her honor, and receive a "Happy Birthday" serenade from all the 1st and 2nd grade students. I cried. Of course.
