Boardwalk!

So one of our favorite things about the Boardwalk is the Luna Park Pool. The whole resort is designed in an Atlantic City Boardwalk in the 50's sort of way, lots of white clapboard, it all feels like a rag time carnival and smells like cotton candy. So the pool has a big windy water slide that shoots you out of a clown's mouth, and the snack bar area looks it's housed under a carnival tent. Totally fun vibe.

In any case, the last time we were here, Lauren was almost 4 and Jon Owen was almost 2. Lauren was brave and went down the slide. Once. It IS kind of a big water slide by Disney standards. But this time, the kids were ready to conquer the clown slide. Jon Owen had last minute doubts, as you can see by these photos of Lauren giving him a pep talk before they climbed the stairs (love love love the support they show each other). So Lauren came down first. Then Jon Owen. I love to see them conquer their fears.
